Credits
What a credit buys, what is free, refunds for failed videos, and when credits expire.
Credits pay for video processing. A video costs 1 credit for each started minute, so a 10 minute 30 second video costs 11 credits. The smallest charge is 1 credit.
When credits are taken
Credits are taken when you submit, not when the clips are ready. The submit page shows the cost and what you will have left before you confirm.
Your balance is always in the top bar.
Save credits with the time range
You pay only for the part you choose. Pick a 12 minute section of a 90 minute video and it costs 12 credits. See Submit options.
What is free
- Editing a clip and saving it.
- Downloading clips.
- Your first 3 Viral Edits.
- Your first scan for bad takes in the editor.
Other things that use credits
- Each scan for bad takes in the editor after your first costs 1 credit. A scan that fails costs nothing.
Refunds when a video fails
If a video fails, its credits go back to your balance automatically. The failed video's page shows the reason and how many credits were refunded.
A video that finishes with no clips counts as failed and is refunded too.
When credits expire
| Credits from | They expire |
|---|---|
| Welcome credits (30, once, when you sign up) | 90 days after you sign up |
| Free monthly credits (30) | 60 days after they arrive |
| A monthly plan | 60 days after each payment |
| A yearly plan | 12 months after the payment |
| A top-up | 12 months after you buy it |
| A refund for a failed video | 90 days after the refund |
The credits that expire soonest are used first.
See your history
Open Credit usage history. It lists every credit you got or used, newest first, with the video's name and your balance after each line.
The same page shows which of your credits expire next, and on what date.
