Free plan rules
What Free includes, the watermark, and when free videos are deleted.
The Free plan adds 30 credits about once a month. A refill arrives when at least 28 days have passed since your last one. No card is needed.
A new account also gets 30 welcome credits, once, when you sign up. They last 90 days. Monthly credits last 60 days. See Credits.
What Free includes
- Every submit option: the four clip shapes, captions, Auto headline, Auto zoom, the time range and Don't clip.
- The clip editor.
- 3 Viral Edits.
- English videos, up to 60 minutes of a video at a time.
The watermark
Clips made while you are on the Free plan carry a small watermark. Clips made on a paid plan have none.
When you upgrade, the watermark comes off the clips you already have. Each clip is made again without it, one clip at a time, under a minute for most clips, so 4 clips take about 3 minutes. You do not have to do anything, and a video's page shows how many of its clips are done.
Two kinds of clip keep their watermark: a Viral Edit made on Free, and a clip longer than 3 minutes. Save a long clip again in the editor while on a paid plan and the saved clip has no watermark.
It works the other way too. A clip you save in the editor while on Free is made again with the watermark.
Videos are deleted after 3 days
On the Free plan, each video and its clips are deleted 3 days after you submit it. Download the clips you want to keep before then.
The rule looks at your plan when the 3 days are up. If you are on a paid plan by then, the video stays.
If a paid plan ends and you move to Free, every video you already have is deleted 3 days after the plan ends. See Plans and billing.
One free account for each person. Extra accounts made to collect more free credits are not allowed.
