Submit options
AI clipping or Don't clip, clip length, time range, Format, Auto headline, Auto zoom and subtitles.
The options sit under the link box and the upload box. They apply to every clip made from that video.
AI clipping or Don't clip
AI clipping picks the best moments and makes one clip of each. It is the default.
Don't clip keeps your whole video, or the time range you pick, as one clip in the format you choose, with captions. The clip runs from the first spoken word to the last and can be up to 10 minutes.
With Don't clip, the clip length and Auto zoom options are hidden, and the clip gets no score.
Clip length
Leave it on Auto and clips run up to 3 minutes.
Or tick one or more ranges: under 30 seconds, 30 to 59 seconds, 60 to 89 seconds, 90 seconds to 3 minutes, 3 to 5 minutes, 5 to 10 minutes, or 10 to 15 minutes.
A range is offered only when your video, or your time range, is long enough for it.
Time range
The time range is the slider named Processing timeframe. Drag its two handles, or type a start and end time, to process only part of the video. You pay for that part only.
The shortest range is 3 seconds. A range under 60 seconds comes back as one clip with captions. Press Reset to full video to go back to the whole video.
For a link, the slider appears after we read the video's length. For a file, it appears once your browser has read the file.
Auto headline
Adds a short hook headline at the top of each clip for its first 5 seconds. It is on by default. Clips shorter than 8 seconds get none.
Auto zoom
Zooms in a little on the moments that carry emphasis. It is off by default.
Format
Format sets the shape of every clip from the video. There are 4 shapes on every plan, and vertical 9:16 is the default.
| Shape | Size in pixels |
|---|---|
| Vertical 9:16 | 1080 by 1920 |
| Square 1:1 | 1080 by 1080 |
| Portrait 4:5 | 1080 by 1350 |
| Wide 16:9 | 1920 by 1080 |
Vertical, square and portrait clips follow whoever is talking. A wide clip shows the whole picture.
Viral Edit works on vertical clips only. See Viral Edit.
Subtitles
Pick one of 13 caption styles from the picture grid, or None for no captions. Karaoke is the default.
Subtitle position puts the captions at the top, middle or bottom. Bottom is the default.
Does your video already have captions or a title on screen? Pick None. If you pick a style, our captions sit on top of the ones already there.
After you submit
Small tags under the video's name show which options you changed from the default.
